Angler Report Rules

Last updated: September 23, 2026

These rules apply when you post a fishing report on Fish or Nah. They add to the Terms of Serviceand don't replace them. You agree to them by ticking the box on your first report. If we change them in a way that matters, we'll ask you to agree again before your next report.

Who sees your report

Your report shows on that river's card to anyone signed in to Fish or Nah, under the display name you pick. Your email address is never shown. Reports are not on the public web and are not shown to search engines. A river's card lists the reports from the last 14 days.

Your report stays yours

You own what you post. By posting, you give Shut Up N Reel LLC, doing business as Fish or Nah, a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store your report and show it to signed-in users, and to use it in combined, anonymous features such as run timing or how a river has been fishing. The license ends when you delete the report or your account, except for copies in backups, which age out on their own.

The rules

Reports are opinions

Angler reports are anglers' own words. Fish or Nah doesn't check or verify them, and they are not advice. Always judge the water, the weather and the regulations yourself.

Flags and removal

Anyone signed in can flag a report, and every flag is sent to us. A report flagged by two different people is hidden until we look at it. We may hide or remove any report or display name that breaks these rules, and we may suspend an account that keeps breaking them. You can delete your own report yourself while it's listed on the river's card, which shows the last 14 days. After that, email us to remove it, or delete your account to remove all of them.
