Shut Up N Reel LLC, doing business as Fish or Nah ("we," "us," or "our"), operates fishornah.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account data — email address and password (hashed) when you register.
• Billing data — payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Preferences — streams you pin, states you follow, and any other in-app settings you configure.

We also collect limited technical data automatically:

• Basic usage analytics via Google Analytics (anonymized, no cross-site tracking).
• Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Fish or Nah service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
• To generate AI-powered fishing recommendations (Pro plan) using your stream and conditions context — no personal identifiers are sent to the AI provider.
• To send transactional emails: account confirmations, subscription receipts, and payment alerts.
• To improve the service and diagnose technical issues.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic — AI recommendations (Pro plan only). Fishing conditions data (flow, weather, stream name) is sent to generate insights. No account or personal data is included. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• USGS & NWS — public streamflow and weather data. No personal data is shared.
• Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or billing compliance (e.g., Stripe transaction records).

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in (NextAuth). We also use Google Analytics cookies for anonymized usage data. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Children

Fish or Nah is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
